Kelly Meyer

Building Designer

After growing up in Vernon and graduating from Vernon Senior Secondary (VSS) Kelly attended the CADD (Computer Drafting and Design) Program in Kamloops. CAD was very new and it unexpectedly became the foundation of his career.

Kelly brought his CAD skills (AutoCAD) to the BC interior starting in 1987 and has consulted with and trained hundreds of people throughout BC and AB over the last 25 years. He was the first CAD consultant in the valley and became known throughout the Interior as the “CAD Guy”. Many of Kelly’s clients continue to have successful careers using Autodesk design tools in the design and engineering fields throughout the region.

Kelly was the sole proprietor of KM CAD Consulting, from 1987 through 2004. He taught Autodesk products privately and also through Okanagan College. He designed and drafted homes in and around Kelowna from 1988 through 1994.

In 1988 Kelly partnered with Autodraft, an Autodesk Reseller based in Calgary. He provided products and services throughout the BC Interior and, over the years, became the sales and technical manager for Western Canada.

Kelly’s passion is building design and technology. His career has been a symbiotic relationship between design and the software tools that bring design to life. He directly combined these passions twice when he designed and built two Meyer family homes, the first in 1994 and the second in 2005. You can see our latest home presented on this website!

Now, after 25 years helping clients be successful with their Autodesk design software, Kelly is now focusing on his first passion – working with builders and individuals, designing and modeling homes.

There is a great sense of accomplishment seeing your clients new dream home come to fruition.
